This March 19 marks the Day of the Artisan to recognize the ingenuity that their hands leave in the culture of Mexico.
The celebration is dedicated to the men and women who give their talent to preserve the popular art that identifies the different regions of our country.
“The production of handicrafts is so varied in techniques, materials and colors that, added to their beauty and industriousness, they can satisfy diverse tastes and interests,” assured the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).
Museum in CDMX opens its doors to celebrate the Day of the Artisan.
Emma Yanes Rizo, general director of Fonart, assured that the artisans generate in each of their pieces a cultural imprint that represents a message of peace and joy for all.
The fair will be until Sunday, March 20, the museum will open this weekend from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., it is located at Miguel Hidalgo #289, Del Carmen neighborhood, Coyoacán mayor’s office.
With the intention of celebrating the Day of the Artisan in Mexico, there are two other points where you can buy your creations until March 20.
Esplanade of the Ministry of Economy, located at Pachuca #189, Colonia Condesa, Cuauhtémoc City Hall, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Plaza del Maíz, Los Pinos Cultural Complex, located in Parque Lira s/n, Bosque de Chapultepec, first section, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
