Improve the purchasing conditions for crafts, promoting Fair Trade so that it generates a social impact within the economies of each family in the craft sector. Open channels for the sale and dissemination of authentic Mexican crafts at an international level, so that the craft activity is economically profitable. Preserve respect for the cultural identity of artisan producers, encouraging the creation and development of products typical of cultural tradition, promoting the use of artistic knowledge, as a measure to contribute and stimulate the identity of each artisan.
UNESCO recognizes that “utilitarian or artistic crafts inspired by tradition represent an invaluable form of cultural expression, a 'capital of self-confidence', especially important for developing countries. The craft takes its roots in the historical traditions that are renewed by each generation reaching the rank of cultural industries. Artisans not only preserve the cultural heritage, but also enrich and adapt this heritage to the contemporary needs of societies. That is why it is very important to support this cause, since by buying one, two or more pieces, you are directly supporting the artisans of each craft sector in the country, improving their social, economic, cultural and environmental surroundings.
